Welcome to the first of many Friday Foto Fun Sharing posts!
I am starting this linky party because I feel with my full time job, I don't finish enough projects to do a Friday Finish sharing party. But I would still like to celebrate the smaller wins such as working on designs or finishing up a block or two on a longer term project!
So how do you join in on the fun?
- Each Friday I will be blog posting my progress share and my goals for the next week. At the end of the post will be the linky party where you can add your link and join the fun! If you opt in on setting goals for yourself, you can comment your goals as well!
- When you link up a post, please try to support the other folks in the linky party! Let's spread the motivation and support to help everyone making progress in their own time.
- Your post does not need to be something quilty you accomplished, but it is definitely encouraged. Sometimes life just gets in the way, so feel free to share something else you are proud of this week.
- In your blog post, please include a link back to my blog or grab the Friday Foto Fun Button and put it on your sidebar. This way others who visit your blog can also join in on the fun!

So onward to my Friday Foto this week… it comes with a backstory. Modern Quilt Guild recently released MQG Member Buzz which is a monthly curated publication full of interesting things MQG members are doing! Geometriquilt was featured in the first release. She does a Sunday Sketch each week that shows her designs she's been sketching. I have been inspired to sketch and design more! There is a small part of me that is afraid someone will steal a sketch of mine and publish a pattern before I do. So I will not be sharing all my designs publicly, but I wanted to share this one. I like the movement it creates, but it's still a work in progress. Maybe one day it'll get polished up and promoted to a pattern.
Here is that sketch repeated.
This is not everything I sketched this week. I have a few sketches I'm thinking about making into a QAL for the spring. Would it be fun to have a mystery QAL? Or would you prefer to see a mock up of the final quilt before deciding to join in? Let me know below in the comments!
I'm off to NYC for my wedding anniversary this weekend! My sewing machine will have to wait a few more days for me to come back and start sewing again. My next pattern, Flying Windmill, releases on our actual anniversary date, October 17! I can't wait to share it with you!
Here are my goals for this upcoming week!
