I love your rug! I also noticed all the photos on Instagram, and each jelly roll turns out beautifully.

Thanks Tracie!!! It was really fun! I saw Roma post a circular rug on her Instagram and now I feel like I need to make a circular one too!

I love your rug. I’ve been seeing them on instagram and wanting to do one. I need to get the pattern and plan on doing one.

It’s fun! You should definitely make one. There is a little bit of a learning curve to get the rope made and remember wonder clips are your best friend for this! Can’t wait to see which Jelly Roll you select!

  3. I love this and just ordered the pattern! I have so many jelly rolls that I have been saving for something special and this is it! Thanks!

Thanks Stephanie! I think you and I had the SAME thought when I saw this pattern! So many amazing Jelly Rolls needing a great project. Roma posted a circular rug on her Instagram a few days ago and now I need to make a circular one! 😀

  4. That is SEW cute!!! I’ve been seeing them on IG, too. You are tempting me!!!

We should totally do a sew day for making these rugs <3 They are pretty fun!

Your rug looks fantastic! What a great idea to incorporate even more fabric goodness into the home! Even that rope ball looks like a VERY cool decor item, if you just left it in that stage!

Thanks Liz! My goal is to have quilting fabric things ALL over my house! But they have to be functional 🙂 My husband actually wanted to play catch with the rope ball, haha!

Very pretty project. You are very talented. I love your creations.

Thanks Lu! I’m glad you enjoy my creations!

Thanks for stopping by and do come again!

I do love these rugs; but I think the process is a bit tedious for me. I am more of the wrap around clothesline kind of gal, but the effect of this is quite stunning and could change my mind….someday.

    • poweredbyquilting says:

The rope making was definitely tedious, but I love the finished product so much I’m planning my next one. I just don’t know when I’ll get to make it! >_<

So fun! I have not seen this before (I’m not on Instagram) but I may need to make one now!

    • poweredbyquilting says:

They are super fun!!! Can’t see which jelly roll you end up picking out to use in your rug! <3

  9. Wow! I have never seen a rug made from jelly rolls. It is beautiful Sherry. I would go out of my way not to step on it!

👋 hi I just bought the pattern
Do you have a picture of the fanfolding and adding the batting I’m a bit confused on the picture in the pattern
    Thanks 🙏

Hi, I actually don’t have a photo, but do you know what double fold bias tape (binding) looks like? It’s exactly like that but with the fabric and batting together. I hope that helps!
