It's the first day of September, so it's a new color for the Monthly Color Challenge! This month's color is RED-VIOLET! If you want more details on the challenge, read about it here.
Jen from Patterns by Jen designed a block that can be made in 6" and 12" finished. I opted to make all the blocks 12" to match the blocks I designed. You can get Jen's block pattern from her blog here.
The goal of the challenge is to have an entire block or project made from that month's color.
I am designing a sample block each month for this challenge. My block this month uses 3 different shades of red-violet! This pattern may look familiar to you as I used this same size of chevrons for my Trish & Birdie blog hop quilt! At the end of the year, I'll give setting instructions for a 12 block and a 24 block quilt. There is a possibility of a 36 block quilt too!
This block is super versatile and makes a nice thick chevron!
