I got Grippy!!! (Friday Foto Fun #52)

Happy Friday to my ONE YEAR anniversary for Friday Foto Fun!  I hope you've had as much fun participating in this as I have hosting 🙂 I am so excited to share that I received a sample of Grippy!!!  I've been waiting since Spring Quilt Market to try this out on my own rulers!  Grippy is made by Odif, the same company that makes the 505 Basting Spray!

So what is so magical about this product you ask?  It is a spray that you spray on the back of any ruler that is not grippy! All of those non-Creative Grids rulers that slip and slide when you try to use them?  Well no longer!  This is a total game changer!

My favorite most used ruler that NEEDS Grippy is the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers.  These rulers are actually really frustrating when they move so this was the very first ruler I wanted to test out!

I put the ruler top down on a white sheet of paper to protect the surface I was spraying on.

Note for future use, do not spray this inside without being well ventilated!  It's pretty stinky!  After you spray the ruler, you wait for about 3 minutes for the product to dry.  Here's the ruler right side up on some blue fabric, you can tell that there is a film on the ruler because it's no longer clear.

You can also tell that I didn't spray the ruler evenly, but even so it really works!  The ruler did not move at all!  It's fabulous!  I can't wait to spray all of my non-grip rulers!!!

So what happens if you don't want Grippy on the back of your rulers?  You can wash it off with soap and water, how amazing is that?!

I wish I had my ruler sprayed before I trimmed a ton of Half Square Triangles!  Here's the sneak peek to my trimmings for my quilt that I'm making for a booth at Quilt Market!

Notice how clear my ruler is in the photo without the spray!  I'm not sure if Grippy is on shelves just yet, but it's coming!!!  I'm so excited about this crazy game changer!

I'm traveling for work this next week so not much sewing during the week, but there is a lot of secret sewing this weekend for Quilt Market prep and a few other surprises I have coming up!

Your turn! What did you accomplish this week?  A block? A quilt top?  Link up below!
