All of the Island Batik Ambassadors are participating in a 4-week blog hop! Today is the start of Week 2 and my day to share my project with my "SURPRISE" fabrics from our second ambassador box that we received in July! You can check out my unboxing video here.
My surprise fabric line is Fortune Teller! This is such a beautiful, bright rainbow fabric line! I love color so much and I was able to incorporate ALL the prints into my quilt project. I decided to recreate my Color Burst Pattern in Fortune Teller since the pattern really showcases the prints well!
The rainbow really brightened up my weekend with all the snow outside. I had to get creative with all indoor shots of the finished quilt.
I tried different draping techniques and got some really pretty color shots of the quilt! I used Aurifil 50wt 2024 for piecing and simple straight line stitch in the ditch quilting!
This was the first time that I used Hobbs Thermore poly batting. It's ultra-thin and super easy to work with!
Here's a full frontal shot of the finished quilt! Now it's time to snuggle under it on the couch - my perfect getaway!
