Today is my stop on the Alexandria blog hop! Alexandria is this beautiful new fabric line designed by Lizzie Clark for Sweet Bee Designs.
I was so excited about this fabric I forgot to take a photo of all the prints! Don't worry, you can see them here on the Sweet Bee Designs website. I decided to make a woven tote with some natural cork!
I was actually a little anxious that the colorways I put together would be too busy, but I LOVE how it turned out!
There are 9 prints in the woven panel and the last print of the line, I used for the handles.
This was the first time that I sewed with cork and it was pretty easy! I used cork on the side panels and on the bottom of the bag. I used a solid purple that matched the line for the lining of the tote.
I can't wait to be walking around Quilt Market with this tote. If you see me, say hi!
