Barn Quilt BOM Preview (Friday Foto Fun #93)

Happy Friday and welcome to one of the hottest weekends so far this year (for me)!  That means I'll be hunkering down in the basement to sew all weekend!  My studio has been a bit neglected this week with all the chaos happening at work lately, but I will make up for some lost time!  Today I'm officially announcing the Barn Quilt Block of the Month Quilt Along (preview)!

I am so excited to be hosting this quilt along with a few of my friends and be sewing along with YOU!  So here's what you need to know.

What you will be making:

There are 2 options to this quilt along.  You have the option to make the full quilt or to make mini quilts with the blocks!  I'll be showcasing how to do either option in this quilt along!

Quilt Along Schedule:

• August: Official Kickoff Newsletter and Blog post with an introduction to hosts and prizes!  Gather all the supplies and prep work for the quilt along.  The newsletter will have coloring sheets for the full quilt and mini quilt options!
• September:  Month 1 blocks.
• October: Month 2 blocks and Mini Quilt #1 assembly.
• November: Month 3 blocks.
• December: Month 4 blocks and Mini Quilt #2 assembly.
• January: Month 5 blocks/Mini Quilt #3 assembly.
• February: Month 6 blocks and Quilt Top Assembly
• March:  Show off your amazing work!

All newsletters and blog posts will be released on the first Wednesday of each month!  The pattern is written for the full quilt so each month, I'll be sending out cutting instructions for each month in the newsletter.

I will also be doing a Facebook Live video in the Powered By Quilting Quilters Facebook Group each month and those will be announced in the newsletter and blog posts.  If you can't make the video, don't worry they will be saved so you can watch them on your own time.

I have a few prizes set up for each of the months starting in September but I'm still working through all those details!
