I can't believe it's almost the holiday season! This year had passed so quickly and it's been full of change!
This month's Island Batik Ambassador Challenge is to create a table topper with applique! The fabrics showcased in this post were given to me by Island Batik as a part of the ambassador program.
When I was planning for this month's challenge I wanted to make a table topper that would match the size of my table and utilize some new fun techniques or products. I decided that I wanted to make a winter-themed table topper with snowflakes!
Using Odif Fabric Booster, I was able to make my white snowflakes like I would using paper and cut out 5 different snowflakes! I used some of the blue fabric from the Blueberry Patch collection that reminded me of a holiday blue!
Then I used Odif 606 Permanent Fabric Adhesive to permanently adhere the snowflakes to the blue fabric. I longarm quilted a swirly motif that reminded me of the wind and finished off the table topper!
Quilt facts:
Pattern: Freeform Snowflakes
Finished Size: approximately 9"x44"
Fabric: Island Batik - Blueberry Patch and solid White
Thread: Aurifil 2024 50wt for binding and So Fine 401 for longarm quilting
Batting: Hobb's 80/20
