I'm sewing along with the Fat Quarter Shop! This is the Jelly Glazed Hearts Tablerunner that I made! It's actually large enough to be a bedrunner!
To make this quilt, you'll need the following supplies:
- A partial Jelly Roll (13 strips to be exact)
- 1 yard of background
- 2-1/8 yards of backing
I decided to use the Ombre Bloom Jelly Roll. This line of fabric also comes in a Dessert Roll (5" by width of fabric) that you can cut the strips into 2. Each of the hearts uses 2 jelly roll strips. I picked out rainbow colors to create multiple colors of hearts!
I used a continuous heart edge to edge design that was built into the Prostitcher. I figured it was fitting with the heart piecing! I am really loving how quickly I can finish quilts with my longarm.
The biggest tip I can offer is that jelly rolls are not exactly 2.5" wide. Therefore when you sew strips together, make sure that the finished size is correct! Otherwise, you might end up with some incorrectly-sized blocks! Also don't forget, when you do the corners of the block, make sure to center the triangles! Press the block in half to get the centerline to align the triangles. Have fun sewing your own Jelly Glazed Tablerunner!
