Travel Ready!

This past weekend I was working on a new project that used applique.  My poor Bernina needs to go to the shop as there is something wrong with the bobbin case movement on my machine.  I ended up needing to use my Janome Gem to zig zag stitch around the applique pieces. But the zig zag stitch reminded me that I could make fabric luggage tags!

I used Sara Lawson from Sew Sweetness's Cork Luggage Tag pattern (it's free!).  I had some fun custom fabric that I fussy cut characters for the luggage tags.  I love the fact that Sara's pattern covers up your information while hanging.

Here is my list of supplies:

Wow, that's a lot of different supplies!  But it was totally worth it!

I ended up making a total of 11 luggage tags!  Some are missing in the photo below.

I can't wait to make more luggage tags!  But honestly, how many luggage tags does one person need?

There is something amazing about making something that doesn't take days to finish.
