I was in one of my custom fabric and hardware groups and I saw someone post this super cute pouch that I just HAD to make. The pattern is the Roo Art Pouch by Elaine's Sweet Life.
It's a square pouch but the zipper is diagonal and the pouch opens flat! This would make a great retreat bag for when we are able to get together again. I had #3 zipper tape and decided to use 2 pulls to open the bag with.
The interior of the bag has no exposed seams to bind since it's turned from the interior pocket. I realized my photo was 180 degrees from the pocket, but you can see the zipper pull on the right if you look carefully.
If I were to make this pattern again, I think I want to sew across the foam at the base of the bag to make the fold a little more pronounced. But the pattern itself was pretty easy to follow! I did make the mistake of interfacing my zipper tabs, don't do that... the pattern doesn't tell you to and with the interfacing it was SUPER thick.
