Custom Scrub Cap

I got some custom 626 Stitch fabric a few months ago and my cousin LOVES Stitch. I messaged her and asked if she wanted a bag or something made from the fabric, but she doesn't use purses very often and suggested that I make her a scrub cap.  She's a nurse and would love to have a Stitch scrub cap!

I tried doing a selfie with the scrub cap, but it wasn't as cute as Hello Kitty modeling the scrub cap!  I had made her a tester version before this final version to see if it'd fit correctly and to see if the button placement was good for her face mask.

The scrub cap pattern is 2 pieces, the band and the top of the cap. The construction is pretty simple, but you'll need a machine that can zigzag or a serger.  The back of the cap has a little part that is elastic to help the cap stay sinched together.

I used the Scrub Cap #7 pattern from Cotton Miracle Studio.  She has multiple different styles of scrub caps and they all seem pretty fast to make. The wooden buttons are placed at the hemline right at the center of my ears.  The buttons were not a part of the pattern, but on the test cap, I marked several locations for my cousin to determine which ones would work for her.  I did the very repeatable method of marking them in relation to my own head!

Have you ever made a scrub cap?  What else should I make from this super cute fabric?
