I am on a bag-making streak! This is a brand new pattern from Lavender & Twine, Alaula Handbag. I adore how this bag turned out. Isn't it just stunning?
The interior of the bag has a slip pocket on one side and an interior zipper pocket on the other side. The top is held together by a recessed zipper.
Now, what did I think of the pattern?
- The pattern comes with videos, but I didn't watch them since the pattern itself was written really well! This is the second pattern I've done so far by Lavender & Twine, and the first was also an excellent pattern.
- There are some really clever techniques that I hadn't tried before but found super helpful while constructing the bag. Like birthing the back from the bottom and stitching close from the interior pocket!
- The hidden connectors in the front are so classy!
- I learned to love decovil light and it's one of my favorite interfacings now!
- Overall, a great design and great pattern. I will definitely make this bag again.
