Hiraeth Handbag revisited!

I made another Hiraeth Handbag by Lavender & Twine.  It took me 2 Saturday streams and a total of ~9 hours or so from start to finish to complete the bag!

The bag is SO cute!  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  I did run into a really weird part with sewing the straps down on the purse where I was skipping stitches and will need more troubleshooting in the future. I think it was a combination of needle, presser foot pressure, and presser foot type that was causing it but I couldn't get a good combination going.  However, the BEST part of the bag is the top stitching!  I used one of the Teflon feet with a sewing edge and my top stitching turned out phenomenally!

The interior of the bag is mini-fetti from Purple Dragon Fabrics with the red accent on the slip pocket and the zipper facing.  I used a plastic corrugated board to give the purse a hard base at the bottom of the bag.

I used my bucket feet rivets on the base of the bag as bag feet!

I used seatbelt webbing as the crossbody strap, but I personally think it's a weird look.  From a functionality standpoint, the seatbelt strap takes so much less space than a made vinyl strap when stored inside the bag, so it's my new preference!

What should be November's bag day make?
