H2O 2Go Sling Revisited!

Since the H2O 2Go Sling by Linds Handmade (with some hacks) was such a great bag for our last Disney trip, I decided to make 2 more for my nephews for when they are going with us in a few weeks!  Technically, this was a revisit of a pattern for March Bag Day that I haven't shared yet.  Anyway, it was so fun picking out fabrics with my nephews to make sure that they liked their slings!

Since my sister and her boys are headed to Disney before the Hubby and myself, I had to ship these slings to her to bring.  The good thing is that the boys love them!  And I just chuckle thinking that this was my way to make sure the boys carry their own water versus having my sister carry ALL the water!  I followed the same pattern hacks that I did with the first one I made.  However, I did not interface the front pocket and zipper pocket with GeekyFuse.  I used SF101 instead and the bags are not nearly as stiff in the front. I also adjusted the boxed bottom to be 1.75" WITHOUT the seam allowance included.  The bottom worked MUCH better when the measurements actually work.

As a reminder, the original pattern has a curved zipper pocket and credit card slots in the pocket as well as an oval bottom.  My bag has a standard straight zipper pocket and a slip pocket on the exterior of the bag. The bottom of the bag is a boxed bottom similar to a zipper pouch with a gusseted bottom.

The interiors are waterproof canvas with no pockets as it's to hold a water bottle.  I used seat belt webbing cut to an adult size so these will be able to expand as the boys grow up! Hopefully, they'll still want to go to Disney with us (my sister and I) in the future!

Bag Details:

Do you think the kids will actually use the slings?  or will their Mom end up with all the water?
