Friday Foto Fun

Okay so the name of the post is definitely a work in progress...  I am starting a weekly Linky party to share progress photos from the week and use it as motivation to keep moving forward in each of our respective projects!  So everyone is virtually sewing together and sharing progress on Fridays.  This will start next week, I hope you join in on the fun!

My progress has been pretty good this week, but a lot of the progress has been secret sewing. My next pattern, PBQ104 - Flying Windmill, is going to drop in 11 days on October 17!  I can't wait to share the pattern with everyone!  My testers have done a spectacular job, and I definitely could not do it without them.  If you are interested in join my pattern tester list, send me an email at poweredbyquilting (at) gmail.com or comment below!

PBQ105 blocks have already been completed, and the top will be headed off to Rhonda of Olie and Evie to get finished once I get it sewn together.  The pattern is slated to go out to testers by the end of the month. 🙂  Here’s a sneak peek to PBQ106 (yes, I am really trying to get ahead these days).  I'm a little obsessed with half square triangles lately, so I have a stack to trim!

I have also realized that non-existent tiny humans are the people that I like to offer quilts to.  Who knew?! My best friend from college is having a baby in March, and his wife likes foxes and raccoons.  I found this super cute pattern from SewFreshQuilts and ordered fabric from FabricBubb since they always have ALL the Kona Colors.

One note about the pattern: it calls for a fat quarter of each of the blues.  Be warned you will need exactly 18" so if your fat quarter is short at all or you cut incorrectly, you should probably get 3/8 yard or a 1/2 yard!  Even if you use a 1/4 yard by the width of fabric, you need exactly that amount.  It would be much better to get a little bit more for squaring up or accidental cuts.

I'm off to a friend's wedding this weekend, so maybe I'll get back to some English Paper Piecing!

What do you have planned to sew for the week? Don't forget I'll have a linky party next week to share your progress! I use the Quilter's Planner every day to help me keep track of all my to-dos in life and in quilting!  If you haven't pre-ordered yours yet, click the photo below to order one for yourself!  It's by far one of my favorite planning tools around.
