AnglePlay the Easy Way, the Book!!

Happy day before Thanksgiving to all my US readers!  Bonus blog post this week reviewing AnglePlay the Easy Way by Andi Stanfield and Mary McElvain!  I met Andi at Sew Pro Convention last year, and I couldn't be more proud to be reviewing her self-published book!

The book utilizes the AnglePlay templates, which are acrylic templates that have extreme angles, not just the standard 60 degrees or 45 degrees you'll find with normal rulers.  The book has 12 different patterns all beautifully illustrated in color.  Each pattern has clear cutting instructions and diagrams to show how each block is put together.

They even included great coloring pages for each of the patterns so you can try out your own color palette for the designs before you make it!  This is my favorite design, it's called Birds Flying High!  I copied the coloring page because I dislike coloring in my books, just in case I mess up or decide on a different color palette.

Unfortunately, I don't own any of the AnglePlay templates yet.  However each copy of the book comes with a discount code to be used at offthewallquilt.com to purchase the templates! I am trying to determine which quilts out of the book I want to make before purchasing the respective templates.

What are my overall thoughts on the book?  I wish I already owned the templates because this book is absolutely wonderful and shows a lot of designs to make using the AnglePlay templates.  If you've been looking for patterns that have sharper angles, this book is for you!
