Last Block! Can you believe that we are all finished?! It seems like we just started this journey and now the 12th and final block is released. Laura Piland from Slice of Pi Quilts designed this Christmas Lights Block. You can get the pattern for this block on her blog post. Be sure to check out my final quilt top blog post too!
This block finishes out the quilt with an entire applique block. I realized I didn't have my bias tape maker so I carefully ironed the edges in to not have a raw edge on my string of lights. I also cut some small bits of fusible to help adhere the string to my backing piece. This was key to help get the loop.
For the lights, remember to cut out your applique centers to help your fabric be more pliable! Slowly stitch around the curves to finish off the raw edges!
Ta Da! Now we've finished off the last block in this amazing QAL!
