Hodge Podge Diamond in the Rough (Friday Foto Fun #41)

I can't believe it's Friday already! This week has been crazy at my new job and I'm still in that "drinking from the fire hose" phase. I added a ton of items to my to-do list and hardly got anything crossed off by the end of the day.  In short, my life is a little nuts and I'm just exhausted!  A couple fun things for this Friday's share! First I started on my Sirena tote bag for Jessica's Summer Tote challenge!  Aren't these strips just pretty?!  I am going to be weaving something fabulous!

I also finally caught up on my June Beehive blocks!  I'm glad my beehive mates understand that life happens!  I made the Abacus block for Rita.  She is making a Christmas quilt so all the blocks she asked for were going to be all red or all green!

I made a Treasure Hunt block for Sandy.  She asked for us to make a purple and turquoise block, but I happened to be on a purple kick.  I hope she still enjoys my block!

Last but not least this week, I was looking at the files on my PC and I found this fun little paper pieced pattern that I created for my Diamonds Mini Quilt.  I finished the quilt March of 2017 as a part of a swap.

A while back one of my blog readers asked for the pattern, and I ended up creating one.  However, I never got around to posting it up so I'm sharing it with you guys free until the end of August!  Enjoy!  If you need help paper piecing, check out my tutorial or send me a note for help!

I am so ready for the weekend!  I'm not sure how much sewing I'm going to get done.  I'm in desperate need to do nothing after the last 2 months of sheer chaos!

What are you doing this weekend?

Your turn! What did you accomplish this week?  A block? A quilt top?  Link up below!

Thank you for the pattern. I will be trying it out in the near future. I look forward to seeing your woven bag as those strips look good enough to eat!! Do rest some this weekend. New jobs are very stressful even when we love the change. A whole different set of skills to organize and remember and old things to forget!!

  4. Hi Sherry, thanks for sharing that pattern. It look really fun. I really hope that you will have time to rest a little this weekend. You have a lot of things happening in your life – so don’t forget to take care of yourself 🙂

  5. How on earth do you get so much done WHILE MOVING? As always, your work is beautiful!
