Fall Into A QAL Block 9!

Today's the day Block 9 is released! What is fall without a Turkey! Karen from Tu-Na Quilts designed this super cute turkey! There are a lot of pieces in this turkey, so read on to learn some fun tips and tricks on working with blocks with lots of pieces!

My block is made of all Moda Grunge fabrics. I cut all the different pieces and kept the pieces grouped by color. There are so many colors and so many pieces in the block, be careful you don't miss one.

Here are my top tips!

Use a design board to be able to move the pieces around without losing any of them.

For blocks that are a grid construction, like this one, I will use web piecing to make sure I don't lose any of my pieces. If you haven't tried web piecing before, check out my tutorial here.
To give you a little taste of what it'll look like with web piecing, here are the rows all joined together. The next step is to iron the seams in opposite directions and sew the rows together.
