Good Vibes Only Blog Tour + Giveaway!
Welcome to my stop on the Good Vibes Only blog tour! Good Vibes Only is Shayla Wolf's newest fabric line for Windham Fabrics and it's super bright, bold and beautiful (view the lookbook here)! I love the vibrant colors so much, I wanted to spruce up my home decor with an awesome jelly roll rug. This fabric is arriving in shops shortly!
There are 32 SKUs in the collection and I wanted to make a BIG rug. I used 2 strips of each SKU to make my rug. Since there are some fun low volumes in the collection, I sprinkled those within my rainbow of color!
Side note: This is my 3rd jelly roll rug that I've made and the very first that I decided to make the rope on my Juki rather than my Bernina. It was so much faster and since my feed dogs are closer on my Juki, the beginning was so much easier to start the rope because it's so much narrower. Who would have thought?! (read about Jelly Roll Rug #1 here and #2 here)
Since I used more strips than a normal Jelly Roll, my rope ball also turned out way bigger than normal. Here are a few photos for scale. It was almost the size of a soccer ball.
I love this rainbow goodness... it really does give me good vibes!
The finished rug measures approximately 36"x52" and currently resides at the entrance to my studio.
Things you'll need to make this Jelly Roll Rug:
- Jelly Roll Rug Pattern by Roma Quilts
- 2 strips that are 2.5"xWOF of each SKU
- Bosal Batting Roll (50 yards)
- Jeans sized needle
- Wonder Clips (these are the best for making the rope)
Windham Fabrics has given me the opportunity to give away a bundle of fat quarters of Good Vibes Only! The giveaway is open until 12am CST on June 24, 2019, and is open to US residents only. Void where prohibited by law.
What are you excited to make with this fabric?

I love your rug, so bright and cheery. It would be fun to make a full swirly skirt for my granddaughter. I can see her twirling in it. Or maybe a lap quilt for someone going through chemo. It would bring some brightness into a grey time of their life.
I may just have to try a rug myself.
Your rug is so beautiful! Those fabrics are just perfect for it.
A lap quilt would be fun and bright with this fabric!
What beautiful and vibrant colors. I think a table runner for my hutch would work with that fabric.
This rug makes me so happy! Thank you so much for participating on the tour and letting me borrow this beauty at Quilt Market!
I’m mostly a quilter only, don’t do bags and rugs and other kinds of things, so I’d definitely use it to make quilts. It would be bright baby quilts, most likely donated to Jack’s Basket. Thanks for the chance to win such a beautiful stack of fabric. I love the rug you made with it.
I mainly quilt, but I do make myself purses sometimes, along with varied types of quilted gifts. For me I’d most likely make a quilt or quilts. I do love the colors of the lines, and love how your rug turned out. Thanks for the chance to win!
Your rug is GORGEOUS!!!! I would love to make a QAYG tote bag!!!
I’m making quilts for a family of 11 children and this bundle would be so bright and cheery for one of the younger girls.
Love the rug. I love the bright colors!!
The rug is fantastic! These fabrics are perfect for making some cheerful quilts for grandchilren.
Yay!!!!! So EXCITED! THANK YOU!!!
