Make a Mini, Make a Friend (Friday Foto Fun #114)

Hello from Quiltcon 2020!  It's been a crazy couple of days in Austin and the show this year has not disappointed.  Tonight, this is going to be the 4th year that I'm participating in the mini quilt swap! This is such a fun event and I love being able to make new friends through this process.  This year the mini that I made, I used my Amara to custom quilt it!

The mini quilt is the flying swallows block that I made during the live stream of Month 5 of my Barn Quilt BOM.  I used my Prostitcher on my longarm to mark all the areas and fit all the complicated motifs in the areas... one by one. The whole time I was quilting, I was thinking that this is taking forever!  But when I finished, I loved the outcome.  I think for some of my quilts I should do more custom quilting on it to make it extra special!  Click on the photo to enlarge.

The fun part is that I added a swirl right in the middle of the quilt in black, but it's much easier to see from the back.

I hope my partner loves this mini!  It was so fun to make and quilt!
