Mental Health Check (Friday Foto Fun #119)

How is everyone holding up out there?  One of the things a coworker mentioned to me was that not only are we looking out for the physical health of each other but we need to make sure we are taking care of each other mentally.  That thought really resonated with me as I finish out 2 weeks from being at home and for the most part staying away from any "fresh air" or outdoors.  My allergies are horrible right now and I'm waiting to be able to see the allergist.  The stress of working from home and not having the option to be at work at the moment since my allergies are that bad has been tough.  It's definitely impacted my joy in sewing these last few weeks, and I've been struggling to get my quilts finished for Fall Market.  They need to be in the mail soon and I'm not quite finished yet.

I have found in the past when I'm in a funk to try something new.  Or create something in a new medium like flowers or something of that sort.  So as a reward for myself once I get the quilts finished that have a deadline, I'm going to be making some wooden flower bouquets.  Sola Wood Flowers to be exact. I never heard of them before, but I saw a targeted ad and thought they'd be interesting to make.

This is a craft kit that I purchased, you can check them out here.

I figured maybe it'll be fun to do something different for a while to see if I can't get out of the funk and get reinspired.

Then this past Wednesday night, we had our first meeting as Odif Ambassadors.  Odif is a French company that produces products for crafters.  Most quilters know their 505 basting spray and most recently their Grippy product.  However, there is so much more to their product lineup and I'm getting really inspired to do new things and share them with you.  Things that still have to do with fabric, but maybe in non-conventional ways.

Hopefully, I'll get out of this funk soon and get some more creative juices flowing!

How are you doing?  What are you doing to keep inspired these days?
