North Stars Narwhal Block (Friday Foto Fun #175)
Say hello to Neville the Narwhal! This past Saturday I decided to make my third block in the North Stars Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman!
Neville is this adorable Narwhal and the block took me just under 4 hours to complete, similar to Reggie and Patty!
I am very happy that I decided to dedicate the 4th Saturday of each month to making a block for this quilt because without that accountability of making the block on stream, I think I would have quit already. These blocks are more complicated, but I'm kind of over it. I guess I should have made Reggie the Reindeer last to maybe keep my motivation, but that may not have worked either. I know I'll be happy when this quilt is completely finished, but not during the process.
Have you had issues with a quilt top before where you didn't want to make it anymore?
What are your sewing plans this weekend? Tomorrow is the first day of May so it's BAG DAY! I'll be making the Trailblazer Convertible Backpack by Bagstock Designs. Pick up the pattern, grab your supplies and join me tomorrow on Twitch starting at 8 am Mountain!

Neville the Narwhale looks awesome! And yes, I bought the fabric for a Moda Sampler QAL. My habit is to use templates (yeah, I’m old fashioned that way) and these blocks are all geared toward rotary cutting. I cut the first block, and never made it.
