North Stars Walrus Block (Friday Foto Fun #179)
Say hello to Willa the Walrus! This past Saturday I decided to make my fourth block in the North Stars Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman!
Willa the Walrus took me almost exactly 4 hours to complete! I think I'm getting used to the Essex linen because it's not making me as upset as the previous months. But it could be that I go in with the mindset that it's going to be stretchy and that perfection is not what I'm going for.
I am super excited that I will be finishing this quilt by the end of the year because it's going to be a slogfest to get there! I finally got the sashing Essex linen that was back ordered since January from Hancock's Paducah earlier this week. I can't believe that the supply chain has been this backed up. Hopefully, as things open back up, the supply chains will get back to normal!
What are your sewing plans this weekend? As a reminder, I am NOT streaming this weekend. I hope everyone has a safe a happy holiday weekend!

Willa the Walrus is adorable!!
I love this pattern and you are to be commended for doing it in Essex Linen but it will be a very special quilt. I love the EH quilts I did and have a dino in waiting…maybe the fall.
