We're moving back to Minnesota!!! A little over 3 years away from the frozen tundra and we are headed back later this year! I'm going to miss the Sandia Mountain view from my house (it's like being on vacation) and the warm weather for sure. But I'm really excited about the new job opportunity and being closer to family.
So what does this mean for all of my business activities?
Twitch streaming - I still plan on streaming most Saturdays but obviously will need to miss some due to the move and potentially the holidays this year. Bag day will be paused for a duration of time since we will not be in our permanent home until later this Spring. I am going to take this time to finish some projects. Currently, I have the Elephant Abstractions quilt and Pineapple Farm lined up. I'm not sure how long both of those will take me. I have already started the Elephant Quilt during Modern Stitching Affair 2019 and completed the trunk (pieces 1-11), but haven't touched it since! I have the Pineapple Farm kit, but haven't started it at all.
Simply Quilts - I still plan on doing Simply Quilts every month, but I won't have my longarm, so we'll just be making the quilt tops and finishing them next summer. This will still be a Patreon perk to have the patterns posted each month!
Patreon Rewards - We will finish off the Piece & Love BOM on January 1, 2022, but I will not have a Patreon exclusive BOM for next year lined up as planned. If I get settled into my new home faster than expected, we may start one the latter half of 2022 but no guarantee.
New Patterns - I have my Spring/Summer 2021 and Fall/Winter 2021 Island Batik Collections that will release later this year and early 2022. Then I will have a pretty long break since I opt-ed out of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection due to the move. I may need to even opt-ed out of the Fall/Winter 2022 collections as well due to timing. I hope not though.
Wave Pool Block of the Month - For those of you that bought the kit, I will start the quilt along after I get the fabric and get it shipped out. I haven't determined if I will be using Facebook or Twitch for the Quilt Along yet (Regardless of the platform, I'll be highlighting the video so the content is viewable after the live stream). For everyone else, the pattern will be released November-ish timeframe, so you can purchase the pattern and join the quilt along when that starts!
Longarm Quilting Services - The last day to submit a quilt for longarming is October 31. I want to make sure I can get all the customer quilts completed before the move. That means if you have Christmas quilt gifts, I will need them early this year to get them finished! I will open quilting services back up around May/June of 2022 after we move into our permanent home.
I think that's it for updates and what we are going to do for the next several months after I finally move. Currently, I do not have a firm move date yet but it'll be in 2021.
