Aurifil Artisan Challenge: Open Sew (Friday Foto Fun #209)
Merry Christmas Eve! This month's Aurifil Artisan Challenge was an open sew or stitch. There is something about being around snow that makes me want to slow down and embroider some fun projects. I have several Cozy Blue Handmade panels that I've collected over the years just to stitch during the winter. I picked this super winter-themed print for my project.
It's not as exciting as some of the other embroidery panels that I have, but it seemed to fit the snowy mood the best. I used the pure white Aurifloss to stitch out the panel. The tree, home, snowflakes, and snowballs turned out great! It took me several hours sitting by the fun little fire in our Airbnb to stitch the panel.
The fun part about the Cozy Blue Handmade panels are the instructions for the stitches if you want to make it similar to the designers. But it also gives you the flexibility to make it your own! You can check out the entire holiday catalog here.
Funny enough, I don't actually love embroidery any other time of the year. Just like ornament making, it's very seasonal for me! I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and stays warm!
Do you have a winter craft that you pick up for the season?
No Twitch stream tomorrow since it's Christmas Day and we'll be with family! I still haven't quite decided if there is going to be another stream in 2021, but to keep up with the latest you can join my Discord.

Merry Christmas, Sherry! What a pretty little stitchery, and that spot by the fireplace looks cozy and nice!
