WIP Progress – Elephant Abstractions (Friday Foto Fun #215)
Happy Friday, we made it! I hope everyone is staying warm! I'm adding a new stream topic to my line-up each month called "WIP Progress" where I work on one of my projects that I have started, but haven't finished yet! This last Saturday I spent 4 hours working on my Elephant Abstractions quilt.
If you recall, I purchased this pattern in 2016 but didn't start working on it until Modern Stitching Affair in 2019. I finished off the trunk while at the retreat, but unfortunately have not worked on it since!
I actually think working on a foundation paper piecing quilt while in my temporary living space works well since you don't need a ton of extra table space to do the project. During the 4 hour stream, I was able to make 15 pieces! I didn't sew them all together yet since it's easier to store in my project pouch loose, but the pieces make up one of the ears! You can almost tell what it is when the pieces are laid out!
I'm looking forward to making a dent into my Works-In-Progress once a month on Twitch! Join me tomorrow for Bag Day! I had thought we weren't going to do bags until we moved into our new home, but I think I can complete the Gunther Hobo Bag by Sincerely Jen Patterns without all of my special tools! I start at 9am Central, come hang out, chat, and sew!

Good luck. I love this pattern, but not brave enough to attempt it.
