Wave Pool BOM Month 1 (Friday Foto Fun #220)
Super happy Friday!!! Today, we are officially kicking off the Wave Pool Block of the Month! As a reminder, we will be posting tips and tricks the second Friday of the month and going LIVE on YouTube the next day (Saturday) at 1:30pm Central for the block demo and to answer any of the questions. Be sure to be following my YouTube channel to follow along!
If you haven't gotten the pattern yet, you can pick it up from my Etsy or Payhip shop. It's not too late to order the kit and sew along. Month 1 is a big block but a fast one!
We are using 3 different fabrics this month with some background.
Tips and Tricks:
- Measure twice and cut once for all of your pieces throughout the pattern.
- Check your 1/4" seam if you are not 100% that they are correct.
- Check your stitch and flip corners to ensure that you correctly sew on the diagonal lines. The flipped triangle should completely cover the area that will be cut off.
- Use a design board to lay out the block in the correct orientation prior to sewing together.
- Web piece, whenever you can, to make sure you don't accidentally rotate any of the blocks.
