Central Perk Bag (Friday Foto Fun #248)
Happy Friday! (It is Friday, right?) It's been a whirlwind the last two weeks going to India and then coming back and getting reacclimated to the timezone. I had great intentions of sharing all of the wonderful bags that I made during the Getaway but didn't have the time to pre-schedule the blog posts and then reality happened and here we are. Today I'm sharing the Central Perk bag by Sincerely Jen!
This was the first bag that we made at the Wizardry Getaway! The pattern comes in 2 sizes and we made the small-sized version of the bag. I think if I were to remake this bag in the future I'd make the larger size as the small size is almost like a fanny pack size.
The bag is made up of interfaced woven exterior and waterproof canvas interior. The pocket in front is sewn down to the exterior and cinched at the top which made it extremely thick for the Bernina's that we were sewing on. I think it may have been almost too thick for my Juki at home. I do think the larger size may not have been nearly as thick as this turned out to be.
I really love the seatbelt webbing as the straps but again the size of the small was like a fanny pack and I REALLY wanted to put it around my waist versus a crossbody.
Ultimately, I really love the concept of this bag and will most likely make another one in the larger size! Speaking of which, tomorrow is Bag Day!!! I have several options to choose from and only a day left to make a decision!
What are your sewing plans this weekend? Come hang out with me on Twitch tomorrow starting at 9am central!
