Starlight BOM Month 2
Happy Valentine's Day! Look at my beautiful block! I made it on stream this past Saturday!
The block from start to finish took about 2-3 hours to make. The real-time video will be on Twitch until Feb 26 so there is still time to get the pattern and sew along with me. I go through each step of how I foundation paper piece and sew the block together! If you miss out, don't worry because I'll be live every 2nd Saturday of the month for the rest of the year sewing that month's block. The best part about FPP is that it's a technique and it's the same technique used on the block regardless of what the block looks like!
After I finished the block, I decided to continue working with FPP and make a few more units in my Elephant Abstractions quilt. I ended up making units 53-60. That means there are only 37 more units left and then assembly! I think this is the first time that I have a line of sight to the finish of that quilt!
What are your thoughts on FPP? Love it? Hate it?

That IS a beautiful block. Your precision is so admirable, too.
P.S. I’m not a paper-piecing fan, though I have done pineapple blocks that way and not minded too much.
