A change of plans (Friday Foto Fun #303)
TGIF! This has been one of the longest weeks I've had in a long time. I finished the half marathon last Saturday at a pace I am really proud of. I was only about 13 minutes slower than my personal record that I set about 11 years ago. I have talked in previous years about really putting my health first and this is the first year that I've actually built the habit of running again.
I spent the rest of the weekend pondering about work and honestly how tired I've been at my day job and needed a break. So why is this important? Normally I'd be telling you about the new Simply Quilt that we are sewing tomorrow on stream, but I'm not.
Well, to continue with the story, Monday came and my world shifted at work through the reorganization of teams and people moving on and off my team. Needless to say, it was a hard week for me and a lot of my colleagues. What's crazy to me is that there was a small chance that I could have been going to Quilt Market (happening now) in Houston. I opted out of going earlier this year because of the runDisney Wine & Dine race that I'm going to next week, but had I gone to Quilt Market, I would have been a mess.
I had already planned on ending the Simply Quilt series at the end of this calendar year, but after this week I think the series is over now. I may come back and pick it up in the future, but for the foreseeable future, I'm not going to do it anymore. I haven't quite finished the pattern from last month's quilt yet, but I will post that for my Patreon folks this weekend along with more information about how the rewards will change for the rest of the year.
So am I sewing tomorrow on stream? Yes, I still plan on streaming. I haven't quite decided yet between a bag to carry my runDisney medals in next week to take photos in the Park without the medals getting damaged or improvising a scrap quilt. Either way, it'll be something that brings me joy that I want to sew versus something that I think I need to sew.

You do so much! Hope the work shuffle is not another move for you. I will post some pics in the wild of your quilt patterns on your facebook site. Saw them in a Freeport ME store!
We all have to make choices, and I hope you will be happy with this, that it will lessen your stress. I’ll look forward to seeing more creativity from you on Patreon in the future.
