Patterns in the Wild (Friday Foto Fun #265)
There is always something super special about seeing one of my patterns in the wild (also known as in random quilt shops around the country). Normally I get notified from someone tagging me on social media or quilty friends emailing me a photo etc. This time Stars Around was spotted!
Even more fun, the quilt is displayed in a shop that is less than 5 miles from where I grew up. Seriously, it's walkable from my high school boyfriend's house! So what's a girl to do? I called my mom to go check it out, find it, and take a photo!
This is super special because this is actually the first time my mom has ever seen one of my patterns/quilts made from my pattern in the wild! It's super fun! She even talked to some of the people working there and they showed her the kit for the quilt!
The quilt shop has been on my list to visit on the last several trips home, but since I was working from home, etc I never made it before they closed at 5pm. It's definitely on my list to check out for next time!
For those of you in the Dallas area, this is at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store in Plano, TX! The shop is open from 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday.
If you'd like to get the Stars Around pattern, you can get that from my shop here.
Tomorrow I'll be sewing a Passion Flower Tote by Blue Calla Patterns on Twitch starting at 9am Central. I saw someone post their version in a Facebook group and HAD to make the pattern! Hope you can come hang out, chat, and sew!
What are your sewing plans this weekend?
