10 more days till Christmas! (Friday Foto Fun #10)
Is it too late to finally put decorations out around the house? Our house is decoration-less at the moment and it feels more like January...cold and not very festive! I feel like I'm in denial that Christmas is coming. I haven't really worked on any of my Christmas-y projects this fall except the I Wish You a Merry QAL quilt. Maybe next year right?! Anyways...I actually have a finish to share today! Friday Foto Fun that is actually a finish this week! I purchased the Delightful Desert Quilt pattern from Elizabeth Hartman for this specific block. Let me introduce you to Cotton Tail!
I LOVE bunnies so much, and I just had to make him. The bunny is actually made up of fabric that has bunnies on it, maybe that was a bit overkill but it's so adorable!
Keeping with the bunny theme, I made the mug rug top for my Starbucks Mug Rug swap. The pattern is by Quiet Play and it's completely paper pieced. I reduced the size of the pattern to 66% to get the finish about 8" square. I also decided while making this block, I really dislike tiny paper piecing! Like no fun whatsoever which is a bummer because the finished product is so cute! I used the same method as my tutorial to make this block.
I almost forgot that I finished the Kefka quilt too! Here's my hubby streaming on Twitch with the quilt behind him!
He changes up the quilt to match the game he's streaming (if I've made him one!). If you watch Twitch or know anyone who does, you should follow my husband at https://www.twitch.tv/the_kov.
One last little tidbit I'd like to share today... there will be an announcement on Tuesday about a new QAL that I'll be participating/hosting/designing in starting in the new year! I can't wait to share this project with you. It's going to be a scrap buster for sure!
Next Friday, I'll be hosting Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday! So be sure to check back, link up and admire all the pretty finishes!
Saturday, Sunday, Monday PM

Love the bunnies, Sherry, especially the little bright one though I can imagine it was fiddly to make.
Thanks Sandra!!! Fiddly is such a great word to describe the process! Yes, it was really fiddly! <3
I like your bunnies too. I don’t have anything to link today (I just realized I forgot to post – ack!). It has been a busy week with birthdays and Christmas parties and little quilting!
Thanks Wendy! So I think I turned the Friday Foto Fun url requirement off! You can definite just upload a fun photo from your computer/phone etc 🙂
It’s the busiest time of year for sure!
Thanks! Btw, we don’t even have a tree yet! And very little decor, so far. 😂
Both of your bunny minis are adorable! Especially love the bunny fabric on bunny quilt. DD2 has been a bunny fan since she could say the word, so I really get it.
Thanks Nancy! Wendy and I are going to try to plan a trip to Quilt Cove to see you 😀 Hope you are doing well!
The bunnies are so cute! I just decorated Wednesday; difficult in a new place and getting things out we “just” put away during the move. It feels good to see the new place decorated. I figure Christmas goes to Jan 6th, 12th night, so you have time. Might try to get an entry up on what I have been doing so I can post. Have been bad linking up, lately!
You are completely correct… Russian Christmas is Jan 7th, so I should have time. My husband and his family are from Russian decent so we also do something for Russian Christmas as well. Thanks for reminding me 😀
It’s good to hear you are at least settling in your new place! Decorating is a huge win! The link up is open until next Thursday and there is no URL requirements, so feel free to link up anytime 🙂
Oh that Kefka quilt! I adore it. Will you make more from FF6? I was so in love with the character of Celes that my daughter’s middle name is named after her.
Love the bunny minis!
I’ve asked if my hubby wanted another FF6 quilt… but he streams a lot more games, so I think I may need to make more for his streams before I do another FF6 character!! Funny about your daughter because we’ve definitely had the conversation about Celes and Locke as names for kids if we were to ever have them!
