#365DaysOfArtPBQChallenge Week 6, Exercises 36-42
I can't believe it's already Week 6 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge! If you haven't started yet, no worries! The link up at the bottom of the post will be open all year so be sure to check back to see what other fellow creatives have made with this week's exercises. Read more about the challenge here.
Without further ado, here are my 7 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!
#36 Paint the ocean from your imagination. Sherry's ocean is a big sea turtle, some fish, and pink stuff? Any guesses on what that's suppose to be? Anyone? Coral. I was trying to draw coral. I apparently don't remember what coral looks like.
#37 Fill the page with things that are the color red. The first couple were given on the page, but I added the rest. I ran out of red items! I even stretched to have a Ruby ring. What other Red items did I miss?
#38 Draw within the black areas using white. I used this exercise to fill the black areas with quilting designs! Anything to help me start thinking about filling spaces with quilting!
#39 Draw a pair of glasses or sunglasses. This was one I thought turned out pretty well. I think the ear piece on the right side of the page isn't quite as long as the other one, but who's measuring?
#40 Open a picture book, turn to a page and draw something from that page. I don't actually own a picture book anymore. So I googled picture book images and found this dragon! What do you think, does it look like a dragon?
#41 Create a flock of bird of paradise by adding wings, tail feathers, beaks, and legs. This one gave a few examples and all the splotches with predrawn eyes. I used thin markers to draw all the wings, beaks, and legs! This is a pretty cute one.
#42 Sometimes, when you are stuck for creativity, it's useful to draw something you love. My sewing machine... or rather a sewing machine... a sewing machine look alike? I was going to draw a vintage one, but then changed my mind and now it's just a mash up that somewhat looks like a sewing machine! I also love the really flat 2D version with a 3D base, I really nailed the perspective on this one! (end sarcasm)
Now that we've all had a good chuckle and/or grimace, I encourage you to join in the fun and expand your creative horizons too!
Amazon can't seem to keep this book in stock! Hopefully they'll get more copies in soon, and you too can join me in this creative endeavor!

Great job on this week. I like the perspective on the sewing machine and your birds are so much fun. I was pretty sure it was coral you were drawing – so not to worry – you got the idea across!
Thanks Kathleen! You are much too kind on my drawings 😀 I think it is helping me think outside the box even if it’s just a little bit each day!
