Friday Fri-YAY Giveaway Day! (Friday Foto Fun #21)
I know this was a short week since I got home from QuiltCon Monday night, but it was a crazy long week! I do have a few things to share with you! Curated Quilts put out their call for entries for their next issue and it's all about triangles! I can't wait to start making a mini quilt with this beautiful color palette. Please note: this is not up yet on their website, but they passed out notecards during QuiltCon.
Speaking of QuiltCon, I finally got everything unpacked and I wanted share a photo of all my loot! I was actually really proud of myself as I did not need another suitcase and my luggage was not charged for being overweight even though it came in at 51 pounds!
But something is missing from this photo. What could it be? Hmmm… Oh right, I bought a Juki TL-2200QVP Mini!!! *Happy Dance!* I have been wanting this machine since I used it at QuiltCon 2017 in Savannah and finally bought one! I got a great show price for it. It's supposed to arrive on Monday, so here is a stock photo from Juki's website. Click on the photo to go to Juki's product page. This is a mechanical straight stitch machine with a knee lift - must have, and can be rotated so you sit at the end of the machine to free motion quilt with it. I am beyond excited!
There is a small part of me that feels like I'm cheating on my Bernina baby, but I'm squashing that down. I'm turning into a Juki Lover.
Anyway as I was unpacking, I realized that I didn't actually need both swag bags that I got. One I got for being one of the first 1000 people to register for QuiltCon and the other one I got for being a Super Volunteer! I haven't run a giveaway in a long time, so here's the deal:
- This giveaway runs until March 8, 2018 at 11:59PM Central Standard Time, pretty much until the next Friday Foto Fun post.
- This is open to US residents only. Sorry to my international friends, but I don’t want to deal with shipping internationally, customs, duty, etc.
- This giveaway is not sponsored by anyone, just me!
- You will get everything pictured below, except for the cutting mat that is the background of the photo. Sorry, I'm not giving away my cutting mat!
- When you comment on this blog post, please read the prompt in the Rafflecopter!
- Good Luck!!!

I didn’t attend but I love seeing all the quilts. Wish I saw all the latest gizmos as well.
I’ve never been to QuiltCon. But am definitely planning on going in 2020 when it’s in Austin. That’s a lot of loot you got.
Quilt Con is definitely on my bucket list! Hopefully next year!!
I’ve never been to quiltcon but I love seeing all the quilts and swag from it on Instagram!
QuiltCon sounds like so much fun! I love the swag bag with the wind turbines on it. My parents’ farm is in southwest Minnesota, and they have many many turbines in the area. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I wish I could have gone, thinking Nashville 2019 may be for me! I loved seeing everything everyone posted.
I did not attend, but I love seeing all of the quilts. Thanks for sharing.
Since I did not get to go I would love to see lots of pictures of quilts and booths.
I attended the QuiltCon in Austin back in 2016. It is what got me started on my quilting journey. I loved experiencing this year’s QuiltCon through your posts.
Thank you for sharing.

I SUPER loved the entire Youth catagory quilts…AMAZING talent, I was gobsmacked by their creativity.
Looks like you had a great time at QuiltCon – congrats on getting everything into one suitcase, and on the purchase of a new machine!
I did not attend, but I did enjoy seeing the quilts others have shared. Maybe a couple demo’s would be nice? Other than that, I think seeing the quilts was the most important.
I didn’t t get to go to Quiltcon, I love seeing the quilts, the way they were quilted is always amazing to me – would love to see more close-up pics of the quilting, especially those quilted other than the norm! Thank you for this wonderful giveaway!
love to see pictures of all the beautiful quilts
I wasn’t at QuiltCon, but hope to go to Nashville next year! I loved seeing all the quilts (and the signage for each with the prices). I love seeing how others price their quilts! Congrats on your Juki! I have the 2010Q (same model as 2200 – they just rebranded them). Let me know if you have any questions. There’s a helpful Facebook group. Also, some people hate the walking foot. If that happens, holler. I bought a Janome foot that fits the Juki and it is a game changer!
I would have liked to see more of the youth quilts.
I didn’t attend this year, but I did attend last year. My favorite part were the vendor tables that had activities–I felt like one whole row of the vendor floor was craft time for grown-ups! There was fabric printing, making yo-yos, building a quilt block with laminated fabric swatches on a Velcro wall, lots of stuff like that.
