Fall Into A QAL Block 4!
Today's the day Block 4 is released! This Sunflower block is designed by Sandy Maxfield at Sandy Star Designs.
My block is made of all Moda Grunge fabrics. The block is 100% pieced!
I chain pieced all of the pieces and used my handy-dandy Sunflower Thread Cutter to speed through cutting all of the pieces apart.
Sew the block together, and you are done! YAY! I hope you enjoyed this block!
Don't forget to submit your completed block on Sandy's linky party, the Facebook Group Page, and/or on Instagram with #FallIntoAQAL to be entered into this week's prizes! One lucky person will win two printed patterns by Amanda Murphy donated by Abbie at Sparkle On! The two print patterns are Folk Garden and Folk Art Flowers.
The prize entry window starting from 12AM Eastern on June 26, 2018, until 11:59PM Eastern on July 9, 2018.
As a reminder, I have a quick links page to catch up on the blocks in this QAL and my associated blog posts. You can also get to that page by clicking the Fall Into A QAL button on the right sidebar.
The sponsors for the grand prize have also been announced. In order to be eligible for the grand prize, you must make a quilt top using all twelve of the QAL blocks by November 13th, 2018. Please note that all patterns are only free until the end of the QAL.
Happy Sewing! I can't wait to see your blocks!

I love this with the Moda Grunge fabrics!
Hi, Sherry, Your Grunge sunflower is beautiful!! Great tip to chain piece. Thanks for the link to the sunflower cutter. I’ve been wondering where to find one.
Your sunflower looks great! Wasn’t it fun to be able to chain piece this one? I really enjoyed it.
Hi Sherry! This block turned out great, and I really LOVE the Grunge fabric choice. It adds just the right touch of reality, I think. I hope all is going well with the house, etc.
Happy Tuesday! ~smile~ Roseanne
Hi Sherry! Your Sunflower block is so cool! 🌻😎 Thanks for sharing your chain piecing tips, I learned about a new sewing tool today.
I love that you are using Grunge again, tying this quilt to the I Wish You a Merry QAL quilt 😊💕
Your Grundge fabrics look so natural in that block. Lovely!
