#365DaysOfArtPBQChallenge Week28, Exercises 190-196
It's Week 28 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge! I can't believe I'm still going on this challenge, I'm actually pretty impressed with myself! If you haven't started yet, no worries! The link up at the bottom of the post will be open all year so be sure to check back to see what other fellow creatives have made with this week's exercises. Read more about the challenge and catch up on all the previous weeks!
Without further ado, here are my 7 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!
#190 Color in. This was a fun exercise where I tried to use a neutral background behind the bright and colorful circles. I still don't really like brown, and I wonder if I should have just kept the background white.
#191 Who inspires you at the moment? Why? Karlee Porter! She is such an amazing quilter! I took her online graffiti quilting class and I loved it! I still have so much homework to do for her class, but it's been a great learning experience and something I want to get good at doing! She has a graffiti quilting master class kicking off this fall, too. See details on her website.
#192 Color in the circles to create a rainbow gradient going down the page. Fill the top row with dark blue, the next row with turquoise, and so on. Try to use different materials like paint, paper from magazines, and colored paper. So I didn't really have extra materials to use for this exercises. The rows that are full are colored pencils, crayon, fine line markers, and watercolor. I really love rainbows so I enjoyed this exercise, I just wish I had more types of materials to color in.
#193 Fill a page with things that are the color green. This was so much easier than the other pages with different colors. Green is such a fun color and there are so many things that are green!
#194 Remember a time when someone made a positive remark about your creativity. Write it down here. There have been so many times that YOU have commented on my art posts. I really appreciate your comments, and they help keep me accountable! I really do think that these prompts slowly change my creative thinking and hope it makes me a better artist.
#195 What are you proud of the week? We have gotten through each and every single box from our move that needed to be unpacked! WOOHOO! This does not mean that things are in their correct places, but it's definitely something to be really proud of. Two weeks in the new house and no more boxes that need to be unpacked!
#196 Draw a fictional character. I took this to draw a character that isn't a real person. I was aiming for part anime (big eyes) and part actual human. After I finished, I had a thought that it was supposed to be a fictional character from a book like drawing Harry Potter or something. Maybe that was the purpose of the prompt, intentionally vague.
Now that we've all had a good chuckle and/or grimace, I encourage you to join in the fun and expand your creative horizons too!

Hooray! No more boxes – has to be my favorite! We did that in our move, and it helps. Its a huge accomplishment. We had neighbors who 5 years ago still hadn’t unpacked everything – and I imagine 15 years later there are still a few. Organization does help!
Congrats on getting through all the boxes! It took me forever to unpack but once I finally did I realize my mood improved immediately. How was Karlee’s class? I was very tempted but I was just too busy this summer. Maybe I’ll take it in the fall!
