#365DaysOfArtPBQChallenge Week 38, Exercises 260-266
Week 38 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge! The link up at the bottom of the post will be open all year so be sure to check back to see what other fellow creatives have made with this week's exercises. Read more about the challenge and catch up on all the previous weeks!
Without further ado, here are my 7 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!
#260 Sit in front of a mirror and draw yourself. This did not turn out half bad! I did have to tweak a few things during my drawing session, but for a face, I think it looks pretty good! I'm improving!
#261 Here are some shelves. Draw your favorite books. You could show the cover of the spines. I didn't really associate the spines of the books to actual books. This exercise really reminded me of the literary quilt I've seen that shows bookshelves of books!
#262 Write the names of some of the people who make you happy. Perhaps sketch their faces. It can be as simple as you like. My fun list of people that make me really happy! And Mina Kimes because she's by far my favorite ESPN person.... I want to be friends with her.
#263 What inspired you today? I have been really into Liberty of London fabrics lately. The lawn fabrics are just so soft and beautiful. The tiny floral prints are awesome, and I aspire to make things that beautiful in the future.
#264 Calligraphy practice: today, draw 'f'. Enjoy its loopy shape. So I don't really see how this is an F. This looks like a loopy S to me, but it was fun to draw. I think I got better as I drew more loopy Ss.
#265 Find a tree. Study the bark of the tree and draw the wood grain. I zoomed in on the bark and the fun little pieces really show on the bark. I feel like this would be a really cool modern quilt. I wonder if I should just start sketching these types of textures and then figure out how to create them in quilt form. Things to definitely ponder on for future projects.
#266 Draw a bird from your imagination. A duck is a bird, right? I think my duck is a cross between a duck I'd see sitting on a pond and a rubber ducky. I think there is something wrong with the proportions, but I couldn't figure out what it was!
Now that we've all had a good chuckle and/or grimace, I encourage you to join in the fun and expand your creative horizons too!
