Week 48 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge! We start the last month of this year-long creativity challenge, woohoo! The link up at the bottom of the post will be open all year so be sure to check back to see what other fellow creatives have made with this week's exercises. Read more about the challenge and catch up on all the previous weeks!
Without further ado, here are my 7 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!
#330 Add flowers to the stalks. I added the colorful flowers to the stems with colored pencils. I actually tried to make one of them a bluebonnet, but I then realized I didn't actually know how to draw one of them...whoops!
#331 Using the calligraphy skills you have learned, write your name below. I really need to get a new thin aquash brush, but I think it turned out okay. I need guidelines the next time I do calligraphy.
#332 Build your confidence by sharing your work. I'm sharing all of my exercises! I hope you guys have enjoyed this as much as I have!
#333 Using watercolors, paint something you remember from your day. We got our Christmas tree up and I ended up sharing photos with people at work. My watercolor is only a basic tree, but it has a tree skirt which is a step up from my real tree.
#334 Turn this paint stroke into a house. You could use white as a highlight. I used a blank fineliner to draw my house. I'm not really sure if I turned it into a house or if I just drew a house over the paint stroke. Funny story, I drew the square windows first after the door and then realized that it was way too unrealistic to have such large windows above a door! I ended up adding the curved windows to balance the house out.
#335 Draw your colored pencils and then color them in. I drew my colored pencils in my case minus the white one. But the size of each colored pencil is actually relative to the size they currently are. I have used my red, black, and blue a lot more than the browns!
#336 Using white pastel or a chalky white colored pencil, draw on the black areas. This was fun but a repeat of other exercises previously in the book.
Now that we've all had a good chuckle and/or grimace, I encourage you to join in the fun and expand your creative horizons too!
