#365DaysOfArtPBQChallenge Week 52, Exercises 358-365

Week 52 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge!  I added exercise 365 to this week, so I AM DONE!!!  Woohoo!!  This year has been one interesting year with the exercises with this book.  I learned a lot about how my brain thinks, what I like to draw, and opened up my creativity.  There were times this year that I thought I'd never finish and I wanted to quit, but I kept at it and finished! Without further ado, here are my 8 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!

#358 Draw what the paintbrush has painted.  There was a time this last year that I really wanted to learn lettering.  However, I didn't have my daily practice and my lettering with a brush is still not the best.  It's something I should practice more next year!

#359 Color in the forest. These exercises really taught me that splotches of color with outlining detail is what makes the drawings fabulous!  Something to think of when I'm designing in the future!

#360 Draw a scene, but instead of drawing the objects themselves, focus on the negative space around them.   I drew my stuffed horse, Moose.  I drew him in pencil first, then the green for the negative space around him.  I don't know if this is really following the exercise directions, but that's fine.

#361 Draw the horizon beneath this sunset.  It could be the sea with ships, a headland a city skyline... My love of skylines is shown here!  I tried to think of things that were distinct items that I remember from different skylines and incorporated them here!  I love City Skylines so much I even designed a pattern for the My Happy Place Row a few months ago!

#362 Add patterns to the scarves.  This was super fun and I really liked the doodling in between lines! The one in the middle is my favorite!

#363 Create a collage of colored paper.  You could paint the paper first and then cut into shapes once it has dried.  I hate the paper exercises so I decided to use this exercise to doodle.  I tend to draw my paisleys in a line and can't cluster them together well, but I think I've gotten better at making them even.  Practice makes perfect I suppose!

#364 Create an abstract jungle.  You could use cut-out pieces of paper or any other material.  What is up with the paper?!  More sketching and doodling for me here.  I added in markers to give me different line thicknesses to play with.  This was really fun and inspiring me to think about doodling every day next year for a personal challenge!

#365 Calligraphy Practice.  Last exercise of the book.  Thank you so much for hanging in there with me through this journey and double thank you for being my accountability partner so I could keep up with blogging every week and posting my art.  It's been a bit comical for me to share some of my trainwreck exercises but I wanted to keep going. I hope you have a great new year and here's to 2019!
