I made a pressing board a year or so back. It is designed to sit on top of my regular ironing board. Then a couple of months ago, I re-covered it with flannel as the flannel grips the fabric and helps prevent blocks from distorting.

Hi Sherry! I am still using an ironing board, but I have been meaning to make a pressing board of a larger size for years. Hidden Stars is next on the radar – I will have a quilt top all together before the end of this month. Yours looks great! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Thanks for this great tutorial. I need one of these. I have a board and some batting cut out for it. I was going to use cotton batting and cotton canvas on top. I will checkout the ironing board fabric next time I’m at Joann’s.
