Beat the Heat Blog Hop + Giveaway!
Today kicks off Week 1 of the blog hop and my day to share my project with my "SURPRISE" fabrics from our first ambassador box that we received in January! You can check out my unboxing video here.
My surprise fabric line is Blueberry Patch! I really love this fabric line and all the variations of blue. I even had a quilt in the catalog using this line, Hidden Stars! I decided to recreate my Square Stones Pattern in Blueberry Patch since the pattern can utilize each print!
I love the different blues contrasting with the Island Batik White! One of the things I love about working with Island Batik fabric is just how flat I can get my blocks! Pressing seams is a breeze!
Quilt Stats:
- Pattern: Square Stones by Me!
- Finish Size: 48"x60"
- Fabric: Blueberry Patch from Island Batik
- Batting: Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Batting
- Thread: Aurifil 2024 50wt for piecing, So Fine 470 for longarm quilting
You can pick up the Square Stones Quilt Pattern from my pattern shop!

I just saw, and fell in love with, the Night of the Nutcracker quilt! I would love to make one.
Beautiful fabrics and quilt! I love IB and I have 2 granddaughters that want quilts for Christmas, so I would use the fabric in those. Thank you =}
I’d make some cosmetic pouches for Christmas gifts with this fabric. Thanks for sharing your fabric and your inspiring blog!
I have no idea what I would make, but once they arrived in my mail, I would come up with a plan!
I’m starting a Churn Dash quilt.. I think I would include these too… Am just in cutting stage now…so could decide..or change mind,,giggle. But neverless..would be in a Special quilt! I promise! Thank you for chance to winyour Give-a-way 😀
This fabric is so beautiful. I would like to make a table runner. Thanks for the chance to win some!
I love Island Batiks and would make a purse with the fabric.
I need to make a wall hanging to go on the laundry door, and Island Batiks are so easy to sew, no fraying and after ironing, they all go so easily together at the seams. As I am down in New Zealand, if I was chosen, could I give the fabrics to a friend up North? Love those blues.
I would love to make a cute wall hanging for the new space.
Love your quilt….
I really don’t know what I would make, but it would fun to figure that out!
love your blues
I would make anything! I have a newborn at home and haven’t sewn in awhile, so a little new fabric would be just the right inspiration!
Such a pretty finish.
I love the fabrics you had to work with. Blue is my favorite color. Your quilt turned out lovely. I would make some fresh potholders with the giveaway fabrics if I won! Thanks for sharing the giveaway.
I love to make throw sized quilts to give as gifts…so that probably what I’ll make.
Island Batik has beautiful fabrics and the blues are great!

I’d be excited to make a “braid” quilt with this great fabric.
I would make a baby quilt. Several new babies will be arriving in the family soon.
I would love to make a wall hanging with this lovely fabric!
