Well, congratulations! You seem pretty excited. Hope the move goes smoothly for you.

  2. Oh no! My first thought was how far away that was from Quilting is My Therapy! LOL I am happy for you. I hope you got a chance to get to know your machine before having to move. Now you will also get good practice in taking it down and putting it back up. That is a good thing to know how to do. Congratulations on this new opportunity in your life.

How exciting for your and your family! Having just moved, I know that things don’t always go as planned. Good vibes coming your way for a smooth move.

This is exciting news. Life is full of adventures. Enjoy this new one. I am on the lookout for scraps-those tiny (at least 1.5”) pieces for my postage stamp quilt. Most people throw them away.

  5. So you’re moving farther away (waaah), but definitely closer to one of our favorite places (Santa Fe). Pretty exciting, my friend! Congratulations!

  6. Linda says:

Welcome to Albuquerque! We have beautiful quilt shops and nice friendly people.

Oh, my! Congratulations on the new opportunity! We just moved cross country and I understand the need to destash. I am interested in your scrap bags because I just gave away a ton I couldn’t move again—but now I have none! 😔 All the best to you and your family on your new adventure!

You are a busy girl! Enjoy the new move, the opportunities and all that the Southwest has to offer! I’m pretty sure Afton Warrick from Quilting Mod lives in Albuquerque…look her up!

  9. Susan says:

Wow! How exciting! I may have to visit you as I’m trying to talk hubby into visiting Albuquerque over Christmas – I’ll let you know. You can show me where all the quilt shops are!

Such a happy blog post for what is surely going to be a very busy move. It is hard to part from friends and to pack everything up….again. While I want to say yes to scraps, the saner side of me says I DON’T need them. I’m sure you will be able to find homes for all. Wishing you luck.

Congratulations on your new position and adventure into New Mexico! We hope all goes well with the move and settling in to Albuquerque at the end of September! Your new southwest environment might be a great inspiration for new projects in the future. Best of luck to you both!!! Love, Jane and Greg

  12. Too much fun awaits you in Albuquerque! (Whoa! Spelling, with that city name!?!) It’s sounds like it will be a great move for your daytime job! Yay!

  13. Wow, exciting news!

Wow, Albuquerque is a GREAT city! It’s beautiful with the mountains surrounding it, and you’ll want to take the tram ride as soon as you can. And you might be leaving Quilting is My Therapy, but you aren’t leaving quilting behind! The Quilt Works is the oldest shop in Albq. I think. It’s been there for decades! And there are several others around, too. I know you will find your niche. And here’s the modern quilt guild, in case you’re interested. =) Albuquerque Modern Quilt Guild Best of luck in a great new city!

Congratulations on your new position and your move! I can’t imagine moving a long arm machine and your fabric along with all the other household things that people generally move. Best wishes for an easy transition.

  17. New Mexico is beautiful! I hope your move goes smoothly!

  18. Congratulations on the promotion! I can’t believe another move so soon after the last. Hope there’s a great HQ dealer there as well as stores. Good luck with it all, we’ll do what we can to support you from a distance.
