A long time ago (spring of this year), my husband signed me up to make a quilt for the winner of a fundraiser he was hosting on his Twitch channel. A pixelated video game quilt to be exact. Because of the move to NM, the winner graciously allowed us to delay making the quilt until now! So what is a Chocobo? A chocobo is a character from the Final Fantasy series. Normally they are yellow in color, but the winner wanted one in red. Apparently the red ones were harder to defeat. This is the yellow chocobo that the winner picked.
In the spirit of streaming, my husband and I streamed the color verification as well as cutting and ironing to the fusible grid. Read my tutorial on how to use fusible grid interfacing here. At the end of the stream, we ended up with a red chocobo ironed on to fusible grid.
The next step of making this pixelated quilt is sewing all the squares together. I was able to finish all of the horizontal rows to make a very squatty chocobo. I'll be working on finishing the quilt this weekend! YAY!
What are you working on this weekend?
