August Color Challenge Revisited (Friday Foto Fun #46)
Happy Friday! How is it the last week of August already?! Which means the August Color Challenge link up is OPEN to enter your block for prizes! YAY!!! Make sure to head over to Patterns By Jen's blog to link up. If you missed the kickoff of the challenge, you still have time to make something YELLOW-ORANGE (or Orange-Red) and enter! This is my 3rd yellow-orange(-red) block using Jen of Dizzy Quilter's Circle Play block! This month is Yellow-Orange or Orange-Red, but I ran out of Yellow-Orange so I added some Orange-Red with the block to make it have more contrast! Like previous months, I used my quarter circle templates to make my paper piecing templates to make this wonderful block! Check out my January post that walks through the process for the circle. This month the idea was improv strips with a triangle in the center to make a spinning star!

I love these blocks and this one is so much fun with the “star” in the center. I can’t believe how many you are working on – are they going in one quilt or a variety of quilts?
They are going to go into 2 different quilts. The Blocks that I’m designing for this QAL is going into one quilt. Patterns by Jen and Dizzy Quilter’s blocks will be going into a second quilt 😀 It’ll be some rainbow goodness at the end of the year!
