QAL by the Sea Block 12!

Block 12 is released today!  I can't believe that this QAL has finished!  Karen of Tu-Na Quilts is this week's designer.  Be sure to bookmark my quick links page so you have easy access to all the blocks and hosts!  You can also find the quick links page by clicking the button on the right side of my page.

I used more grunge and again with the sky, I needed grunge dots!  The nice thing with keeping scraps is that I had scraps of all the small pieces too!

Here are my top tips:

Be sure to label your pieces as the small pieces can be misplaced easily.

I also used design boards to lay out each of the sections of the block.  Be sure that you are making your stitch and flip corners in the correct orientation.

I also decided not to do embroidery on this block but instead used my Tulip Fabric markers to do my embellishments.

The yellow from the light house is a bit harder to see, but the black for the railing at the top of the lighthouse looks great.
