Trailblazer Convertible Backpack Part 1 (Friday Foto Fun #176)
Today, I would have shared the finished Trailblazer Convertible Backpack that I made on stream last weekend, but I had to cut the stream after only 4 hours last weekend to take my Juki to get serviced. Thankfully the machine is finished getting serviced and I'm going to go pick it up later today. I'll be finishing the backpack tomorrow during the stream. I was able to get most of the exterior completely assembled in the 4 hours last Saturday.
I used the Nighttime Spectacular panel of Sorcerer Mickey with the coordinating mouse head print for accents. I made slight modifications to the pattern to not have a front slip pocket with a zipper flap to just a large zipper pocket in the front. The back of the bag has a trolley sleeve and I used the main print to also showcase the Sorcerer Mickey.
I still need to do the entire lining and the backpack straps. I also need to trim the seam allowances for the exterior bag since I was in a rush to get it turned for photos!
Bag Details so far:
- Pattern: Trailblazer Convertible Backpack by Bagstock Designs
- Vinyl: Golden Shimmer from Bo Dee-Oh
- Hardware: Geeky Hardware (except the mouse rivets)
What are your sewing plans this weekend? I'm going to be finishing up this bag on stream tomorrow starting at 8am Mountain on my Twitch channel. Come hang out, chat, and sew!
Another bit of news, in case you missed it in my newsletter, I'm selling reservations for kits of my newest BOM releasing later this year! Kits purchased as reservations will come with some extra goodies from me! (Think spools of thread, additional fabric, etc.) Check out the details here!
