Cargo Duffle Part 1 (Friday Foto Fun #207)
Happy Friday! I can't wait till tomorrow when I can finally finish the Cargo Duffle from last weekend. I was only able to make the front and back panels of the duffle during the stream time.
I really love the geo pop canvas but it's several years old since I purchased the original kit off of Craftsy way back when! I underestimated the time it was going to take me to walking foot quilt the panels and therefore I spent a large majority of the time just quilting the panels.
I think it turned out good enough especially since I didn't baste one of the sides. I realized that was a bad idea so for the second side I improvised and used my fork pins to baste the layers together. Tomorrow I'll be sewing the gusset together and the handles with the final assembly of the bag. Then I'll be moving on to the first set of blocks in the Pineapple Farm quilt. I've already done a little bit of starching the fabric to prep since my current sewing space is rather small.
See you tomorrow on Twitch! I still plan on keeping the same time (at least for now) at 9am Central! I'll be making the Cargo Duffle by Noodlehead. You can get the pattern free here. Once that's assembled, we'll move on to the Pineapple Farm quilt. Come hang out, chat, and sew!
What are your sewing plans this weekend?

You come up with so many great bags to make, and this one is pretty cool. You should be good to go if we are socked in by snow!
I had planned to sew along with you. Had my pattern and fabric ready, but then life got the better of me. LOL
