Bits and Pieces Blog Tour Kickoff & Giveaway! (Friday Foto Fun #272)
I am so excited to kick off this awesome blog tour of my fifth signature line, Bits and Pieces from Island Batik! So what is a signature line? A signature line is designed by in-house Island Batik Designer Kathy Engle, but I get to design the corresponding patterns that are in the catalog! I've gathered some really awesome quilters and designers to join me on this blog tour!
Bits and Pieces should be shipping to stores NOW! You can pick up yardage or a precut like a 10" stacker or 2.5" strip pack. To find your closest quilt shop that carries Island Batik, check out the Store Locator here.
I also have a very limited amount of fat quarter bundles listed in my shop!
In case you missed it, I released 4 brand new patterns with this fabric line. I love how these patterns look with this beautiful fabric line! I also made the last two Simply Quilts with Bits and Pieces!
Get a copy of these patterns in my Shop and I also have a limited number of Summer Delight Quilt kits available! As a reminder, the quilt along starts April 8th! I hope you'll join me!
Now to the giveaway! I'm giving away a padded flat-rate mailer of all my Bits and Pieces scraps from when I made all of my quilts plus some fat quarters, end of bolt, etc. It's going to be FULL of Bits and Pieces! (Unfortunately, this giveaway is only open to US residents. Void where prohibited by law.)
Be sure to visit all of these amazingly talented quilters and designers to see their beautiful Bits and Pieces projects!

Hello Sherry! Thank you so much for hosting this blog hop. I absolutely love Bits and Pieces! The colors are so bright and happy. I have a 10″ stack of precuts in my stash right now that I’m planning on using in a future project. Love, love, love it! Have a great weekend.
I cannot say for sure what I would make. I would need to see what all was in the batch and the colors. It would definitely be something scrappy like Twisted Ladder or the Diamonds Mini Quilt.
The colors are very pretty and would make up a great looking quilt. I am thinking of an X & O quilt, to let the colors shine.
The colors and designs in this collection would be perfect for a flower garden quilt I am designing for my granddaughter.
I would start another quarter circle quilt. These colors are my favorites.
I would make pillows with this collection.
With the odds and ends of your Bits and Pieces collection, I’d make a gorgeous travel bag for my next excursion!
What a beautiful collection of fabrics! I would like to make some kind of rainbow effect with this fabric cascading across the quilt.
I luv luv luv scrappy quilts. Not sure what size your bits & pieces are, but I’ve lately been sewing together scraps to make bigger pieces of cloth from which to cut my templates. I’m also strip piecing piano keys for borders. Who knows what it’ll be, but it’ll be fun! Thanks for this chance to win your off cuts.
I would use a shadow box pattern to make a throw. I think a white background with gray shadows.
Love the designs and colors of the fabric. I would make a quilt with stars.
A granny square quilt might be good.
A granny square quilt might be good.
I will never admit to having enough quilts but, I think, since there are bits and pieces I would make an assortment of bags. For once it would be nice to have project bags and travel bags that looked liked they belonged together. There are so many accessories that would use up bits and pieces!
A kitty quilt for my new cat Eliza Jane!
Batiks look lovely in log cabins.
Beautiful patterns – I am working on an iris wall quilt for Spring as a gift and I love using scraps and bits and pieces in my small quilts – use as much of my fabric as possible .
Love these bright fabrics. They will make a great lap quilt.
Love how cheerful and bright the fabrics are! They would make a great baby quilt!
I would make some kind of scrappy quilt (one of my favorites!)
